Jen Manning
Freelance Artist

Jen with her doggy nephew

Jen is mainly a self-taught artist from a very young age, who predominantly works in acrylics and covers a diverse range of subjects. Primarily focused on realism, her work captures the detail and accuracy of a subject, with a distortion toward the contemporary and abstraction.

Initially completing a BSc in psychology Jen had very different aspirations for the future, but found her way back to creativity after much self-development. A passion for animals, people and all things born of nature were to lead her into a whole new creative space.

Jen has been painting private commissions since 2002 and is now focusing her attention on artistic development. Whilst art for her often mirrors realism, it largely depicts an escape from reality using fresh and vibrant colours to create an unsullied visual experience. Jen has so far completed three successful solo shows in her native Warwickshire.

"The artist's talent sits uneasy as an object of public acclaim, having been so long an object of private despair." ~Robert Brault
